ZestBuy Return Policy

1. Overview
ZestBuy LLC (“ZestBuy”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) wants you to be completely satisfied with your purchase of home furnishings and small furniture from homefurnit.com. If for any reason you are not satisfied, this Return Policy explains your rights and obligations. All transactions are in Euros (EUR). This policy applies to consumers within the European Union as well as customers from other regions, with specific provisions noted where applicable.
2. Your Legal Right to Cancel (EU Customers Only)
If you are a customer located in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason, under the EU Consumer Rights Directive. This cooling-off period expires 14 days after the day on which you or a third party indicated by you (other than the carrier) receives the product. To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision to cancel before the 14-day period ends.
3. Voluntary Return Period (All Customers)
Regardless of your location, ZestBuy offers a voluntary return period of 30 days from the date you receive your item. This extends beyond the legal 14-day cooling-off period for EU customers. After 30 days, we do not accept returns except for defective products covered under warranty (see Section 10).
4. Conditions for Returns
To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met:

The item must be unused, unassembled (unless assembled only to inspect), and in the same original condition that you received it.

The item must be in its original packaging, including all boxes, foam, plastic wraps, manuals, and accessories.

The item must not be a final sale or excluded item (see Section 5).

You must provide proof of purchase (order number, email confirmation, or receipt).

For items that require assembly: partial assembly for inspection is allowed, but fully assembled items cannot be returned unless defective. If you have assembled the item and it is not defective, the return will be refused or a restocking fee of up to 50% may apply.
5. Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned:

Custom-made or personalized furniture (e.g., custom upholstery, cut-to-size shelves)

Items marked “Final Sale” or “Clearance” on the product page

Mattresses, bed pillows, and seat cushions due to hygiene reasons (sealed packaging must be intact; if opened, non-returnable)

Gift cards
-
Items damaged by customer misuse, improper assembly, or normal wear and tear

Items missing original packaging or components
-
Items returned after 30 days
6. How to Initiate a Return
To return an item, please follow these steps:

Contact our customer service team at buy@homefurnit.com with your order number and the item(s) you wish to return.

Include the reason for return and, if applicable, photos of any defects or damage.

We will respond within 2 business days with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and instructions for shipping.

Pack the item securely in its original packaging. Write the RMA number on the outside of the package.

Ship the item to the address provided in the return instructions. You are responsible for shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong or defective item).
Returns without an RMA number will not be accepted.
7. Return Shipping Costs

Due to ZestBuy error (wrong item, defective product, damaged in transit): We will provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you.

Change of mind, doesn‘t fit, not as expected (non-defective): You are responsible for return shipping costs. For large furniture items (longest side > 100 cm or weight > 30 kg), we recommend using a tracked shipping service. Original outbound shipping fees are non-refundable.

EU customers exercising 14-day cooling-off period: You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods, unless we agreed otherwise. For small items, this is your cost. For large furniture, we may offer collection at a fee not exceeding our standard shipping rates.
8. Restocking Fee
ZestBuy does not charge a restocking fee for most returns, except in the following cases:

Returned item shows signs of use, assembly, or missing parts: up to 25% restocking fee

Original packaging is damaged or missing: up to 15% restocking fee

Return initiated after 14 days but within 30 days: no restocking fee for change of mind, but standard return shipping applies
We will clearly inform you of any restocking fee before you confirm the return.
9. Refunds
Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will process your refund within 10 business days. Refunds will be issued to your original payment method (credit card, PayPal, etc.). The refund amount includes:

Full product price paid (excluding original shipping fees unless the return is due to our error)

Return shipping costs (only if we provided a prepaid label for defective/wrong items)
If you received a free shipping promotion, the actual shipping cost incurred by ZestBuy may be deducted from your refund for change-of-mind returns. We will provide an itemized explanation. Refunds may take 3-7 business days to appear in your account depending on your payment provider.
10. Defective or Damaged Products
If you receive a defective, damaged, or incorrect item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Provide your order number, photos or videos of the defect/damage, and a description. We will, at our option:

Send a replacement at no additional cost, or
-
Issue a full refund including original and return shipping, or
-
Offer a partial refund if you wish to keep the item with disclosed defect
Defects discovered after 48 hours but within 30 days will be handled on a case-by-case basis. After 30 days, our warranty policy applies (see Section 11).
11. Warranty for Furniture
ZestBuy offers a limited warranty of 12 months from the delivery date for structural defects in materials or workmanship on all small furniture items. This warranty does not cover:

Normal wear and tear (e.g., fading fabric, minor scratches)

Damage caused by improper assembly, misuse, accidents, or modifications
-
Damage from exposure to moisture, extreme temperatures, or pets
To make a warranty claim, contact buy@homefurnit.com with proof of purchase and photos. We may require you to return the item at our expense for inspection. If approved, we will repair, replace, or refund at our discretion.
12. International Returns (Outside EU)
For customers outside the EU, the same 30-day return window applies. However, you are responsible for all return shipping costs and any customs fees, duties, or taxes incurred for the return. We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service. We do not refund original shipping charges or any non-refundable customs fees paid at import.
13. Late or Missing Refunds
If you have not received a refund within 15 business days after we confirmed processing, please check your bank account or credit card statement. Contact your payment provider as it may take additional time. If you still have not received the refund, please contact us at buy@homefurnit.com.
